Penny Authors - How we've done so far?

Poetry in Penny Author's opinion is an open field and both genders are making their mark.  Penny Authors is also open to everyone of all races who write poetry in the English language. Five years on and was reflecting back reviewing PA's journey, where we have published 8 anthologies.  We look at book by book to plot our journey, our progress and growth.  We begin with the overall average for the 8 anthologies.

Diversity

I started this project off in London and then moved over to Cornwall, where the project is now run from; as a result there are more local people from west Cornwall then anywhere else in the country.  The means of connecting with people are through face to face and word of mouth, via WhatsApp, email and Facebook. I have managed to get people involved from various communities, which are listed in the table.  PA's target is to widen the ethnic groups over the course of future issues.

It is clear that PA has done well in reaching out to the local Cornish community; Cornwall is known for its  artist community nationwide and the world.  There is the ethnic groups that I came over with, whom I've been working closely to keep them on-board. The Bangladeshi and the Indian as well as the Back community members are from London, where I started the project from.  In the pie chart you can see the percentage as it stands today in 2022.

Gender

It is also the task for Penny Authors to do its best to keep and maintain a balance, but inadvertently, it is working itself out. Females 48% and males 52% - a healthy balance, while I understand not and equal balance.

Now we look at the above stats per book published to see how we faired through each publication.
